Fun Bowling 2009 @ Westwood Bowl - 7 Feb 09

Registration Fee:
$40.00 per team ( 4 bowlers)

Rules & Regulations:

Objective:

This fun bowling day is to promote and foster community bonding and promote goodwill, comradeship, friendship and sportsmanship amongst the bowling fraternity.

Playing Rules:
This fun bowling will play all games in accordance with the Rules & Regulations of the Singapore Tenpin Bowling Congress. Each Team will comprise of 4 bowlers and each bowler will play a total of 3 games.

Handicap:
Female and children below 14 years old would receive a 10 pins handicap for each game bowled.

Attire:
Bowlers are required to be properly dressed for bowling.

Checking-In
All participants must check in punctually according to the allocated time on 7 February 2009 (Saturday) @ 2pm.

Allocation of Lanes:
Allocation of lanes and time of bowling will be assigned to the registered teams based on balloting. Registered teams will be informed by either fax or snail mail or e-mail.


Tardy Bowlers
The bowling center's clock shall be the official timepiece. Any bowler joining after the tournament has commenced will be subject to the following rules:
(a) To join the game without practice.
(b) To commence the game at the frame, which the bowler of his/her respective lane has/have bowled.


Award:
The top 5 teams and top 5 individuals bowled over the 3 games will be determined as team/Individual champion, 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up, 4th and 5th positions. House award is not applicable throughout this tournament.

Tie Breaker:
In the event of a tie, the tie-breaker shall be the least difference between the highest series (total one-game team score) and lowest series (total one-game team score) bowled.

If there is still a tie, the tie-breaker shall be the least difference between the highest series and the second lowest series bowled and so on, until the tie is broken. The highest and lowest series shall be taken from the three games bowled by the teams on that day.


Refund:
There will be no refund of entry fees once the entry has been registered and accepted upon payment. Any participant who fails to turn up and / or is late in checking in will be disqualified and the entry fees forfeited.

Matters not provided for:
If there are any other matters that are not covered in this tournament's rules and regulations, the Organising Committee, whose decision shall be final, will decide on those matters. The Committee will not entertain any correspondence on completion of the tournament.

Bukit Panjang Big Walk 2009

More than 4,000 residents took part in the Big Walk @ Bukit Panjang on 11 January 2009, Sunday. After the 3.5 km walk, the residents were treated with a series performances such as school dancing band, chinese dance by Zhenghua Primary School and the Bukit Panjang WEC Dance-Fit Club.
