




Brisk walking has become a favourite activity for Bukit Panjang residents while qigong, a low impact exercise, is also gaining popularity.
As such, a qigong demonstration and brisk walking event was organised for residents in the morning of 22 March at Block 116 Pending Road.
More than 800 residents gathered at the hard court at 7.15 a.m, kicking off the day by practising "The 18 movements of Taiji Qigong".
After their qigong practice, the residents continued with their two-kilometre brisk walk with families and friends. Dr Teo Ho Pin, Mayor of North West District and MP/Advisor for Bukit Panjang Constituency, also joined in the fun.

为此,超过800名居民参加了于3月22日举行的气功示范与轻快步行。他们于早上7时15分聚集在秉定路第116座组屋旁的硬地球场,开始练习“太极气功十八式”。
在练完气功后,居民继续和家人朋友进行两公里的轻快步行。西北社理会市长兼武吉班让区议员张俰宾博士也参加了轻快步行,与民同乐。
